Day 2
On day 2 of the fast to highlight the plight of Brendan Lillis the so-called justice minister David Ford once again buckled to pressure from above and refused to order the release of Brendan. Ford unbelievably stated that Brendan was still a risk to society and that he did not qualify for release on health grounds. Anyone following the plight of the Lillis family will know that this is absolute nonsense .We add our voice to the many and again call for Brendan’s immediate release.
At 7pm this evening people from west Belfast joined the vigil on a white line picket to show their support for Brendan Lillis.
