Sectarian and Political Policing.

From before any of us were born, policing in the north of Ireland has been a cause for concern among the catholic/nationalist people due to the mainly protestant British led police force. In 2001 the notorious RUC changed it's name to the PSNI. It is evident that this was just as it is, a name change. The force remains the same, sectarian and 100% British, just t
he same as the RUC and RIC before them.

What makes matters ten times worse for us is the fact that Sinn Fein have embraced this police force and welcomed them whole heartedly into our area's with the sole objective of stopping anybody who stands up to the unionist run stormont and westminster government. We can clearly see that the police are not in our area's to stop the local hoods and drug dealers, in actual fact many of these hoods and dealers are under the protection of the police and are free to carry on with what they want, in some circumstances paid in cash, in exchange for information. Plainly put the RUC/PSNI have created touts and informers within our communities and are backed by Sinn Fein representatives.

Do not be fooled by the PSNI simply because someone you voted for says they are right and just. The people in the north have been spun a lie so as others can benefit their own political gain. You seen first hand the actions of the RUC, dont let the name PSNI shield what happened to our people at the hands of this draconian police force. In 2012 nothing much has changed.

Another very important and extremely worrying aspect we need to remember is the political side of policing in Ireland. In 2012 we have Irish men and women being bullied, harassed and mentally tormented by crown forces on daily basis. This type of abuse by police does'nt just happen behind closed doors, it happens in public places more often and designed to demonise and vilify the victim in the eyes of their own community.

This type of policing is reminiscent of the past which only further proves to us that the nature of policing in the north of Ireland remains the same, sectarian, political and British.

It is time for us to stand as one and rise up against this draconian and unjust police force of the crown.
