"To break the connection with England" Wolfe Tone

Friday 1 August 2014

Republican groups, The 32 County Sovereignty Movement, IRSP, Republican Sinn Fein, Eirigi, 1916 Societies and The Dublin Anti-internment Committee, stood united... outside Glasnevin Cemetery in opposition to members of the Royal family, Theresa Villers and a British Army colour party attending the unveiling of a cross dedicated to those who fought and died for the British Empire.
Two protesters were arrested, one of which was arrested in a very heavy-handed manner.
Members of the Garda’s Special Branch Unit violently pepper sprayed the protesters from very close range. The 32 County Sovereignty Movement strongly condemn these actions by the Free State’s bullies.
Today was a great show of unity among the Republican family and this must continue, we must build on this, and establish a stronger working relationship with each other for the overall betterment of the Republican Movement.
